Professor Jatin Nayak, former Professor, Department of English, Utkal University, spoke on ‘Netaji’s Odisha Days’, on the occasion of the Annual Netaji Lecture, on 24 January 2026.
Dr. Raj Chandravarkar of Cambridge University spoke on ‘Habits of Governance: Labour, Colonialism and Democracy in 20th Century India on 6 April 2000. The seminar was organised in collaboration with History Department, Calcutta University.
Dr. Crispin Bates of the University of Edinburgh spoke on ‘Communalism, British Imperialism and the South Asian Diaspora’ on 13 April 2000.
Dr. Mark Harrison of the University of Sheffield Hallam (currently at the University of Oxford) presented a paper on ‘Public Health in British India New Perspectives’ on 10 May 2000.
Prof. Barun De, currently based at the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, Tashkent, Uzbekistan spoke on ‘Central and Inner Asia in 20th Century: Some New conceptual Questions’ on 20 July 2000.
Dr. Sulagna Ray of London spoke ‘Debates on Hindu-Muslim press 1930-1947’. The lecture was organised in collaboration with History Department, Calcutta University on 3 August 2000.
